Biltong is a form of dried, cured meat that originated in Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. ... The word biltong is from the Dutch bil ("rump") and tong ("strip" or "tongue").

Our traditional Beef Biltong is spiced and cured the South African way. We use an age old South African recipe as our starting point and tweek it as we go, the end result is a chilli biltong fit for any occasion.

Our beef is supplied by our local national and international acclaimed butchers Higinson’s. Their greatest achievement came when they were named Britain's Best Butchers. They source the best meat locally from the finest farms on our doorsteps. Our Beef Biltong is an ideal low calorie, high protein snack made using only the finest ingredients. Beef Biltong in the modern day has now taken off as a snack eaten by many people across the world. We have used our extensive knowledge of spices and especially chilli to bring you a hot, tasty and nutritious biltong snack.

Our biltong is packaged as it’s dried so the dryness and fat content is varied. We have imported a biltong drying cabnet from South Africa to make our biltong. We have also imported a biltong slicer that has been designed especially for slicing biltong perfectly, again from South Africa.  Eaten on its own as an appetiser or to munch on through the day. Especially at sporting events, but anywhere is OK. It can also be used as an ingredient, we use it in salads, scrambled egges, spag bol, chilli con carne and chopped on top of cheese on toast. Try it, you'll find it much more addictive than peanuts or potato crisps.

Traditional spices and a good hit of chilli are used to add flavour to our air dried Cumbrian Grass Fed Beef Biltong.
