Most of the tomato varieties grown by home gardeners are
considered indeterminate varieties, or vining tomatoes.
They continue growing and setting fruit throughout the
growing season. |

What is a determinate tomato
variety? |
|
Determinate tomato varieties tend to reach a fixed
height and stop growing to set fruit for one large crop,
usually ripening over a 1 to 2 week period. |
