National Curry Week (23-29 November) which this year is
raising funds for Oxfam.
Starly's Spice Company and The Chilli Pepper Company have been
invited to cook Satan's Ashes on stage. All the top
contenders will be there to challenge us to see who has
got the Hottest Curry In The World.
As part of our contribution to the fund raising for Oxfam, our
two companies will be donating 5% of our takings from
The Famous Dickensian Festival in Ulverston on the 29th

button in case our customers would like to make a small
donation to this very worthy charity.

Hottest
Curry in the World
A combination of exotic
spices from around the world with a
special blend of some of the hottest
chillies there are. This is the first
curry to be tested as the hottest in the
world.
The first batch has become the
hottest and most
talked about curry on the planet.
"hello Chile seeds,
The table was set, the recipe
followed down to the last detail. Friday night and
satan's ashes are on my plate.! many have been here
before, I agree. But how many of those fearless few
actually walked away with the plate empty or indeed just
walked away? so in true curry eaters style I put my
marker down and picked my fork up as I viewed my first
fork full, what terrors where waiting for me on the other
end of it? So with no caution to the wind and as time
and tide waits for know one, in went the fork.
Immediately I knew the
pressure was on, my taste buds took the full force and
sent an overwhelming message to my brain, the message
was to stop! and to stop right now. I chose to ignore
that as I plunged my fork into the second helping and
then the third.
My fork was now a trident as
I smashed though the pain barrier. the devil had
consumed me and taken over my brain.
The food was now in my
stomach , churning up my inners like a Tasmanian devil
riding a raging bull. I wanted to stop but knew the
consequences of failure. I had to see this through. Each
extra mouthful punished me more than the last and I knew
the clock was ticking. How long could my body take this? I
had long reached the 100% pain threshold before I scoop
up my last mouthful and working on automatic pilot I
swallowed it down. Quickly I tucked into a full glass of
milk as this, I am told closes the receptors on your
tongue. but I think it was a case of locking the barn
door after the horse has bolted.
I am now still of course
alive to tell this tale but feel a little closer to hell
and am on first name terms with the devil himself. This
is truly a master dish and the pleasure of eating it should be well thought out
before proceeding. Oh, and in true British style make
sure you tell someone where you are first!
its been emotional,
from Simon."
"Hi there, just placed an other order and
just wanted to say that "Satan's Ashes" was by far the
hottest thing I have
EVER
tasted... bravo!"

The Chilli Pepper Company win accolade from Tom
Parker-Bowles Food Writer, Mail On Sunday, he rates some of
the chilli chocolate on the market "The key is the chilli and
chocolate working together in blissful harmony, lovers
rather than fighters. And the aim is a perfect marriage
of equals – not an assault on the taste buds."

"Made with 72 per cent cocoa
solids, this is decent dark
chocolate with depth and a long,
smooth finish, although it’s not
especially complex. The cayenne
pepper is well judged, too, only
emerging towards the end of the
mouthful and giving a
well-mannered warmth that works
harmoniously with the rich
