The Armageddon chilli is a UK-bred super-hot chilli pepper developed by Tozer Seeds and was first grown commercially in Bedfordshire by Salvatore Genovese. The chilli belongs to Chinense family so naturally delivers an extreme heat level associated with this family of chillies. The Armageddon chilli was cultivated for the UK market and cooler climates, to give a robust plant , with higher yields and a ripening process that results in quicker maturity. Maturity can be 3 weeks earlier than other super hots.
If you’re brave enough to taste this atomic chilli, there’s a distinct fruity and citrusy taste with an underlying floral note. Be warned – it’s searing heat keeps on giving!
