Description
Thunder Mountain Longhorn chilli is a rare Chinese variety. The plant produces some of the longest chillies you’ll ever find with some reaching 35cm . It has a medium heat and would be excellent to add in any dish. It is thin skinned and easy to dehydrate .
The pods go from green to red and get to about 35cm long with some pods curling up like a spiral ! This is an unusual plant and has the wow factor!
The Pepper originates from south west of Guizhou in China, The Mountains of Leigongshan (Mountain of Thunder). This area around Thunder Mountain grows some amazing chillies and Thunder Mountain Longhorn Chilli is one them . Traditionally the chilli is sun dried and afterwards put in a charcoal heated hot house which gives them a wonderful smoky, sun dried flavour.
